Armenian parliamentary coalition parties have released a statement
condemning Turkey's attempts to linking the Armenia-Turkey Protocols
to the Karabakh conflict settlement and to fail the normalization
with Armenia.
"Armenia's constructive efforts and the expectations of the
international community continuously faced with the evasive approaches
and the ongoing policy of pushing forward pre-conditions that brought
the timely ratification process of the Armenia-Turkey Protocols, signed
in October 10, 2009 in Zurich, into a deadlock," reads the statement.
It also says it will be senseless to continue the ratification of
the Protocols given the policy Turkey pursues in the matter.
"The majority of the Armenian National Assembly considers
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's recent statements
as inacceptable as one more time he linked the ratification of
the Armenia-Turkey Protocols by Turkish parliament directly to the
Nagorno-Karabakh-Azerbaijan conflict settlement," reads the statement,
calling on the parliament to remove the ratification of the Protocols
from parliament's agenda until the Turkish side will be ready to
continue the process without any pre-conditions.
