Yuri Oganessian, academician of the Russian Academy of Science,
Scientific Leader of the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions at the
Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (in Dubna) will arrive be on a
visit in Armenia on April 17-24. Team headed by Oganessian discovered
new elements of Mendeleev's table (112-118) in 2010.
His visit aims at discussing details on reconstruction of Yerevan
Physics Institute, including the researches implemented by the
institute, management structure and model of the National Laboratory
as well as possible assistance by Dubna Nuclear Research institute,
RA Economy ministry press service informed NEWS.am.
April 22, the scientist intends to meet with students of Yerevan
State University. Armenian Economy Minister Nerses Yeritsyan will
also attend.
