Head of Religious Council of the Armenian Patriarchate Archbishop
Aram Ateshyan left for Van to familiarize himself with preparation
for resumption of religious services to be held in the Surb Khach
church on Akhtamar Island.
According to Turkish Internethaber website, Archbishop Aram Ateshyan
met with Van Governor Munir Karaoglu today.
In March end, Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay
signed Van Governor's application for permission of annual religious
services in Surb Khach church.
Archbishop Aram Ateshyan informed that the first service will be
conducted on September 12, 2010.
