EIGHT-YEAR-OLD GIRL FALLS INTO CANAL IN YEREVAN

ArmInfo. The Rescue Service of the Armenian Emergency Situations
Ministry received an alarm at 5:31pm on Tuesday from an unknown person
who informed that a girl fell into the canal near Bryusov Street, the
Emergency Situations Ministry told ArmInfo. Rescuers arrived at the
spot at 5:33pm. It was the 8-year-old native of the Russian
Federation, Azalia Gadelshina. The circumstances of the incident have
not been revealed yet.
To launch search and rescue operations, the inflow of water into the
canal was suspended. The search operations till 9:13pm brought no
results. The search was resumed today in the morning. The Armenian
Foreign Ministry is informed of the incident.
