Hurriyet labeled the statement of the parties represented in the
political coalition of the Armenian National Assembly - Armenian
Republican Party, Prosperous Armenia Party, Orinats Yerkir - on
withdrawing Armenia-Turkey protocols from the NA agenda as shocking.
According to the source, Turkey's Foreign Minister Deputy
Undersecretary Feridun Sinirlioglu is in the Turkish government over
the issue at the moment, while Murat Mercan, Chairman of the Foreign
Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, said in
an interview with NTV that Turkey should not take snap decisions but
rather should assume prudent position.
In a report "The ball is with Sargsyan", Hurriyet says that today the
Armenian President is due to deliver address. It draws attention to the
event that President Serzh Sargsyan has convened a National Security
Council sitting and met with the leaders of the political coalition.
"Now it depends on Sargsyan's decision, whether Armenia will withdraw
its signature form the protocols frozen to ratification or not,"
the source says.
