YEREVAN, APRIL 22, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian National Committee of
America (ANCA), along with members of the Armenian community in the
US, will hold a 24-hour long rally April 23 in front of the White
House demanding the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the US
President Barack Obama. ANCA Press Secretary Elizabeth Chouldjian
told Armenpress that during the rally the participants will read
the telegrams of the US Ambassador to the Ottoman Empire Henry
Morgenthau and many other ambassadors, which prove that the Ottoman
Empire did commit genocide against the Armenians. Rally entitled 'We
will Always Remember' will be organized April 24 in Washington, D.C.,
in front of the Turkish Embassy. Commemoration ceremony will be held
the same day in front of the cross-stone erected in the territory of
the Armenian Embassy. Elizabeth Chouldjian informed that a number of
commemoration ceremonies will be held in California and many other
states and cities of the US. She added that protest rallies will be
organized in all the cities, where Turkish consulates exist.
