Map of Azerbaijan 'Great Britain is not the Minsk Group member but
    it fully supports this process.

The British government fully supports efforts for the peace settlement
of the Karabakh conflict and creation of normal and friendly good
neighbor relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, said Dennis Sammut,
chief executive of LINKS British nongovernmental organization.

He said negotiations are currently held within the framework of the
OSCE Minsk Group, co-chaired by the United States, Russia and France.

'Great Britain is not the Minsk Group member but it fully supports
    this process.

This is a delicate moment for the Minsk process. Much work has been
done through these years. It is important to bring the work to the
    logical end'.

As for the possible opening of borders between Turkey and Armenia
without the resolution of the Karabakh conflict, Summut said:

'There are two approaches to this issue. The first is that if the
border remains close, Armenia may be held under pressure, which will
make it be more flexible in negotiations on Karabakh. Under the second,
the opening of borders may break the blockade, the Armenian mentality,
which is a hindrance for peace in Karabakh and that the opening of
borders with Turkey will make Armenia less dependent on Russia.

I support the second position and I think that Armenia and Turkey are
still loyal to the process of normalizing relations and I suppose the
border will open as soon as there are some positive achievements in
the resolution of the Karabakh conflict'.
