OSCE MINSK GROUP CO-CHAIRS TO MEET WITH OSCE CHAIRMAN MAY 5

Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group will assemble at the OSCE
Headquarters in Vienna on May 5, APA reports. The mediators will
report the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs
of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev and representatives of Minsk Group
co-chairing countries on the negotiation process.
Remind that Russian former and new co-chairs Yuri Merzlyakov and Igor
Popov, French Co-Chair Bernard Fassier, American Co-Chair Robert
Bradkte and Personal representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office
Andrzej Kasprzyk met on April 22. It was noted in the statement issued
after the meeting that the discussions had been conducted on latest
developments, as well as the high-level meetings held in Washington,
Baku and Moscow.
"The co-chairs assessed those meetings as new impetus to the progress
in peaceful solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict within the framework
of Madrid principles. The co-chairs will visit Vienna to inform the
OSCE Minsk Group about these efforts in early May," the statement
reads.
Note that, Yuri Merzlyakov will hand over his post to Igor Popov
during the Vienna meeting. Remind that Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian
received the newly appointed Russian Co-Chair in Yerevan Tuesday.
