VOLUNTARY DONORSHIP HELD IN THE PARLIAMENT

At the initiative of the Directors of the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor
Registry and by the support of the leadership of RA National Assembly
on April 26 in the parliament a voluntary donorship was held: for
helping the patients needing bone marrow transplantation the deputies
led by the Speaker of the National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan gave
blood. In the words of the founder, director of the Armenian Bone
Marrow Donor Registry Sevak Avagyan this program is held in connection
with the ten-year anniversary of the center. It is envisaged during
the year to recruit 10.000 donors. The action will refer to all state
bodies, among which the National Assembly was the first to respond.
