The Chief of police who is ready to stifle any revolution it in the
cradle obviously represents the dictatorship's interests, Zaruhi
Postanjyan of the Heritage parliamentary faction stated in Parliament
on April 27.
NEWS.am reminds readers that Chief of the RA Police Alik Sargsyan
recently stated that any attempted revolution will be "stifled in
the cradle" in Armenia.
He pointed out that the police are supposed to defend the authorities,
noting that, in doing so, the police will not stop at human sacrifices.
"We can not only hear the public appeals for violence made by the
Chief of Armenian Police, but have also witnessed policemen attacking
peaceful demonstrators. Also, we are regularly informed of policemen
pressuring and even killing people in the streets and at police
stations," Postanjyan said.
She stressed that it is the Armenian people's right to get rid of
the illegitimate authorities by means of revolution.
