JUVENILE CRIME RATE UP FOR 2009 IN ARMENIA

ArmInfo. In 2009 a total of 532 crimes with participation of minors
were registered in Armenia, which is by 4 cases less than in the
previous year.
The Armenian Police press-service reported that juvenile crimes
sharply grew totaling 477 in 2009 versus 282 in 2008. Analysis of
statistical data shows that the crimes were committed by the minors
who had previously been brought to police. In addition to juvenile
thefts, the cases of infliction of bodily injuries, hooliganism and
robbery have grown in number recently.
