ArmInfo. Twenty six PACE deputies voiced a statement today on
condemnation of the Armenian Genocide and called on its recognition by
CE member-states, Head of Armenian delegation to PACE David Harutyunyan
told ArmInfo.
The statement says, in particular, that recognition of the Armenian
Genocide in Ottoman Empire by all PACE members will promote recognition
of this crime against humanity by the Turkish authorities, that will
finally lead to Armenia-Turkey rapprochement and establishment of
peace, stability and security in the South Caucasus.
The statement was signed by PACE MPs from Italy, France, the Great
Britain, Germany, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia, Luxemburg, Austria,
Cyprus, Ireland and Canada.
