and five were having rest. Nine cases have been registered in the
Armenian provinces. The mentioned cases commander of the water
rescue special squad Samvel Lazarian explained with the changes of
the weather.
Today at the meeting with reporters he said that they are carrying out
all the necessary works in all the water territories of the republic
and it may be testified by the circumstance that from July 10 till
today no cases have been registered. The number of rescued people by
them this year reaches 16.
The majority of the tragic incidents are registered after 8 pm when the
service of the rescuers ends, or in the territories which are not under
their control. This year the age of drowned people has not exceeded 30.
The commander said he is glad with the level of equipment of the
service, but noted that the additional technology, uniforms and
training will do good.
Samvel Lazarian once again called on the people to swim only in the
territories controlled by water rescuers. He said in the territory
of Sevan 19 water rescuers points are functioning and the number of
workers is 37 which Lazarian considered not enough.
