ALEXANDER BOZHKO: THE MAIN FACTOR IN THE ARMENIAN-UKRAINIAN RELATIONS IS THE ECONOMIC TIES

YEREVAN, JULY 27, ARMENPRESS: Ukrainian ambassador to Armenia
Alexander Bozhko will end his tenure months ago and will hand his
recall credentials to the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan. Today
at the meeting with the reporters he said that the main factor in
the Armenian-Ukrainian relations is the economic ties. "In 2005
the trade turnover between our countries made 118 million USD and
already in 2008 it reached 310 million USD but as a result of the
financial-economic crisis we lost almost 40% of it," Bozhko said,
adding that currently works are being carried out to restore the
former volumes and neutralize the consequences.
The ambassador noted that the economic cooperation is spread on
the agricultural sphere. A. Bozhko referred also to the cultural
cooperation presenting the book printed in Armenian - "History of
Ukraine" book. Majoring in Armenology the ambassador said after he
returns to the homeland he is going to publish a book in Ukrainian
dedicated to Armenia and its history.
