YEREVAN, JULY 29, ARMENPRESS: "Turkish-Kurdish clashes, right,
are inner issues, but they bear the impact of the foreign forces,"
administrative director of the Armenian Center for National and
International Studies (ACNIS) Karapet Kalenchyan told Armenpress.
According to him, when tension in the Turkish-American or Turkish
Israeli relations is becoming notable the Kurdish factor becomes
active inside Turkey.
"For normalizing relations with the USA Turkey may even go to certain
concessions in the Armenian-Turkish relations," Kalenchyan said.
According to him, Turkey faces the greatest threat - possibility of
creation of independent Kurdistan - thus this may force it to adopt
milder position in other issues on which the USA may have impact -
particularly in Armenian-Turkish relations.
