New Wave 2010: Sona Shahgeldyan to get on stage 9th
The final round of `New Wave 2010' international song festival is due
Saturday. The participants will present songs specially written for
the contest which they have never performed before. Armenian
representative Sona Shahgeldyan will get on stage 9th.
Sona Shahgeldyan is third with 189 points after the first two days of
the contest. Israel's representative has scored as much. Ukrainian
singer Tatiana Shirko scored 191 and is the leader, Uku Suviste of
Estonia has scored 190 and got the second horizontal.
`New Wave 2010' international song festival got underway July 27 in
Yurmala.17 singers from 12 countries participate in the contest `
Russia and Ukraine (3 contestants), Belarus, Estonia and Latvia (2
contestants), Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Finland,
Brazil and Israel.
The contest budget is 100 thousand euros. The winner will get 50
thousand euros, second contestant ` 30 thousand and the third ` 20
thousand euros.
