`Azerbaijan received a harsh warning'
According to political scientist Sergey Shakaryants, the statement of
OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries' Presidents Barack Obama,
Dmitry Medvedev, and Nicolas Sarkozy was addressed to Azerbaijan, the
statement called on Azerbaijan not to undertake operations or make
bellicose statements. The expert said that Armenia and Artsakh did not
suffer in the latest events, moreover, they gained points.
`We expect to see no further provocations on the front. I think the
warning to Azerbaijan was very harsh,' Shakaryants said.
According to the political scientist, the situation will become more
clear after Co-chairs' regional visit scheduled for September.
He predicts calm August in the Nagorno Karabakh settlement process
meanwhile thinking that as always Azerbaijan will start aggravating
the situation as September comes.
Speaking about Armenian side's position Shakaryants said that `the
leaderships of Armenia and Artsakh should undertake parallel steps to
launch international recognition of Artsakh.'
