About 222 Musical, Art, Fine Art And Junior Creative Schools And Centers Functioned In Armenia In The 2009-2010 Academic Year

About 222 musical, art, fine art and junior creative schools
and centers functioned in Armenia in the 2009-2010 academic
year. Forty five of them functioned in Yerevan and the rest in the
provinces. Twelve of the schools functioning in the capital were
affiliated to the municipality, the 32 to the district offices and
one to the Education and Science ministry.
Armenian National Statistical Service told Armenpress that 16 out of
45 schools functioning in Yerevan are musical, 9 art, one fine art
and 19 junior creative. Twenty five schools operated in the Kotayk
province, 26 in Shirak, 19 in Syunik, 17 in Gegharkunik and 17 in
Tavush provinces.
