CONSTRUCTION WORKS OF A NEW CYCLING GROUND KICKED OFF IN YEREVAN

YEREVAN, JULY 28, ARMENPRESS: A new and an up-to-date cycling ground
corresponding to European standards will be constructed in the capital
by a joint investment program of the Yerevan Municipality and Italian
"Renko" company. The start of the program was today announced by the
Yerevan Mayor and by the director of the Armenian branch of the "Renko"
company. Press service of the Yerevan Municipality told Armenpress that
Gagik Beglaryan and Francesco Jussotti have signed a declaration, by
starting the construction of an up-to-date cycling ground in Yerevan.
The cycling ground will be constructed on 2 hectares territory at the
address of Admiral Isakov Avenue and will be intended for over 3200
spectators. The construction of the cycling ground will turn this
part of the capital into an active sport and cultural center. "In
near future Yerevan will have a cycling ground corresponding to
international standards, which will contribute to development of
cycling in Armenia," Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglaryan said.
"We express our readiness and commitment to complete the construction
of this new masterpiece in Yerevan in time," Director of the Armenian
branch of "Renko" company Francesco Justotti said. The program is
extensive, large-scale construction works will be carried out. After
two years the Yerevan people will have an opportunity to pass their
spare time in this public cultural and sport center.
