NO MEETING BETWEEN SARGSYAN, TER-PETROSYAN IN THE WORKS

Recently the newspaper Haykakan Zhamanak wrote that U.S. Ambassador
Marie L. Yovanovitch was attempting to get Serzh Sargsyan and
opposition leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan to have a face to face meeting,
with the aim of starting a dialogue.
Today, Galust Sahakyan, who heads the Republican Party faction in
the National Assembly, said that such statements were unfounded
rumor. "I have no knowledge of such a meeting because nothing of the
kind exists," he said. Mr. Sahakyan said that such news, if true,
woule be hard to keep under wraps.
