RUSSIAN, ARMENIAN PRESIDENT AGREE ON ARMENIAN FIREFIGHTERS MISSION TO RF

YEREVAN, August 4 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev
and Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan have agreed on engaging an
Armenian firefighting and rescue detachment in the efforts to put
out the wildfires raging in Russia, the presidential press service
said Wednesday.
In the course of the telephone conversation, Sargsyan voiced
condolences to Medvedev over the loss of human lives and material
damage the fires have caused in Russia.
Sargsyan said the Armenian people knows perfectly well how important
assistance of friendly countries in situations of natural calamities
is.
He proposed to use the services of Armenian firefighting and rescue
departments in the extinguishing of fires in Russia and elimination
of their aftermath, officials at the Presidential Administration said.
