ARMENIAN GENOCIDE DIFFERS FROM OTHER GENOCIDES

"The Armenian Genocide differs from other genocides since we were
deprived of our homeland, Armenian people's extermination on the
ethnic or religious ground pursued the goal of banishing us from our
native land and seizing Western Armenia, Director of the Institute
of History at the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, historian
Ashot Melkonyan told a press conference.

According to the historian, to speak about a real compensation today
which was legally recorded on August 10, 1920 by great powers is
"to speak about Armenia's security, to voice to the world the fact
that, unfortunately, Armenia deals with the same country committing
    genocide."

"The Turkish policy of denial is continuation of the very policy of
    genocide," Melkonyan stressed.
