ARAM KHACHATURYAN MUSEUM-INSTITUTE HAD 13 000 VISITORS

YEREVAN, AUGUST 10, ARMENPRESS: Aram Khachaturyan museum-institute had
13 000 visitors during the first half of the running year. Director
of the museum Armine Grigoryan told Armenpress that the museum has
carried out active work during the running year organizing a number
of events - memorial evenings, meetings with distinguished musicians,
concerts, exhibitions, etc. In the near future a number of events are
also planned. As part of "Guest to school" program the specialists of
the museum will visit a number of schools of the capital were classes
dedicated to Aram Khachaturyan will be held.
"This initiative is of continuative nature, classes on different topics
will be held. The goal of the initiative is to promote the formation of
aesthetical taste of the young generation and their development. The
participation in classes is an occasion to introduce to the school
children the house-museum, the newly acquired samples," Grigoryan
said. Within the framework of the program the museum worked with 5
schools of the capital and soon is planning to extend cooperation.
A number of concerts will be organized by the Aram Khachaturyan Trio
and museum as part of the "World Classical Diamonds" program. Works
of contemporary composers will also be presented.
Armine Grigoryan says the museum keeps about 18 000 materials of the
outstanding composer. Every year the museum acquires new materials.
