    A. YEGHOYAN SAYS PUNITIVE MEASURES AGAINST ENTREPRENEURS FOR GROUNDLESS RISE OF PRICES MUST BE INTENSIFIED

    ARMENPRESS
    AUGUST 13, 2010
    YEREVAN

YEREVAN, AUGUST 13, ARMENPRESS: In case of groundless rise of prices
in the Armenian market the entrepreneurial institutions must be
fined in the amount of the 5% of the revenue received during the last
year, Director of "Consumers Rights Defense" NGO Abgar Yeghoyan said
considering the rise of bread prices a result of the chaos created by
some entrepreneurs. "Russian Prime Minister stated that the export of
wheat is prohibited till the end of the year, but everybody ignores
the US statement, according to which 15 million tones of wheat will
    be exported this year.

Nobody says that 4 days ago in the international market the wheat
price fell by 5 $," A. Yeghoyan said. According to him, the punitive
measures against rise of prices must be intensified. The Center for
"Consumers Rights Defense" NGO proposes to set up an out-budgetary
fund, to which the remained 2.5% will be added. A. Yeghoyan said that
money will be purposeful to spend on the monitoring of prices and
competence of consumers to make it possible to undertake preventive
measures in case of suchlike situations.
