    ARMENPRESS
    AUGUST 13, 2010
    STEPANAKERT

Economic Development Minister of Nagorno Karabakh Republic Karen
Yesayan and Economy Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nerses
Yeritsyan signed today a memorandum of cooperation in Stepanakert. The
memorandum involves the directions of intellectual property,
assistance to small and medium enterprises, IT, trade and quality
infrastructures, market regulation, policy of competitiveness and
    investment and tourism development.

Nerses Yeritsyan mentioned that the involved spheres can give a new
impetus to the economic policy of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic. As to
the development of the sphere of small and medium enterprises, Nerses
Yeritsyan mentioned that during the works with any infrastructure
of the Ministry and implementation of projects they will suggest
the Armenian businessmen to extend the spectrum of their activities
    in Artsakh.

Karen Yesayan mentioned that the only way of making Artsakh's economy
recognizable in foreign markets is Armenia. He said they hope that the
Armenian business environment will use its means for the development
of the economy of Artsakh. Armenia is currently negotiating with the
European Union over the trade sphere. Nerses Yeritsyan says it will
have a good influence on the development of Artsakh, too.

The Ministers met today with Sergey Shahverdyan, head of the NKR
Government-affiliated tourism department, as well as with lecturers and
students of the State University of Artsakh. The Armenian delegation
granted computers and laboratory apparatus for the infrastructures
of the NKR Economic Development Ministry.
