Belarus to produce Armenian brandy
MINSK, 23 August (BelTA) - Belarus will open a branch of the Yerevan
Brandy Company to produce Armenian brandy. On 21 August Belarusian
President Alexander Lukashenko paid a visit to the Yerevan Brandy
Company and met with Gagik Tsarukyan, head of the Multi Group Concern,
BelTA learned from the presidential press center.
It is very important for Belarus to produce a good brandy, the head
of state noted.
During a visit to Armenia, the Belarusian President visited a number
of industrial and trade companies in Yerevan.
Alexander Lukashenko visited the Belarus-Armenia Trade House which
is expected to open in the near future. At the beginning, the trade
house will sell more than 1600 names of goods produced in Belarus. In
the future the trade facility will sell the Belarusian furniture and
various equipment.
"The Belarusian goods will be in popular demand in Armenia as they
are cheap and qualitative," the President noted.
Alexander Lukashenko also visited the Yerevan-based diamonds and
jewelry production facility to get familiar with the production
process including diamonds sorting and cutting. The sides discussed
the cooperation between the Armenian company and Belarus' diamonds
producer, Gomel PO Kristall.
According to the President, due to implementation of concrete joint
projects Belarus and Armenia should increase the bilateral trade
significantly.
On 21 August, Alexander Lukashenko left Yerevan for Minsk.
