About 1400 schools to work in 2010-2011 academic year in Armenia
YEREVAN, AUGUST 27, ARMENPRESS: On September 1, about 1400 schools in
Armenia will open their doors. An official from the Secondary
Education Department of the Armenian Education and Science Ministry
told Armenpress that 35 secondary schools which are under the
liability of the Education and Science Ministry, as well as 57
non-state licensed secondary educational establishments will work.
There are 25 state special secondary educational establishments in
Armenia.
According to the official information published by the Armenian
Education and Science Ministry, 91 senior schools will work in the
upcoming academic year, the 37 of which - in Yerevan. Four senior
schools will work in Ararat province, 6 in Armavir, 5 in Lori and
Gegharkunik, 9 in Shirak, 4 in Syunik and Tavush, 3 in Vayots Dzor and
Aragatsotn province, and 11 in Kotayk.
