Azerbaijan not to participate in NATO exercise in Armenia

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said the country will not participate
in the NATO exercise to be held in Armenia from September 11 to 17.
`We state categorically that our servicemen will not participate in
the NATO exercise in Armenia,' a Defense Ministry official said when
commenting on a statement by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu
that Azerbaijan will be represented in the NATO exercises in Armenia
to some extent, Informer.az reported.
The Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre will conduct
the consequence management field exercise Armenia 2010 from September
11 to 17, 2010 in the town of Arzni, in the Kotayk region of Armenia.
Teams from 15 Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC) and
Mediterranean Dialogue (MD) nations are planned to take part in the
exercise and 11 additional countries are scheduled to participate by
sending staff officers.
