ENERGY TARIFF IN ARTSAKH NOT TO BE CHANGED UNTIL 2012

The total volume of the energy, harnessed in Artsakh, is 260
million kW/ hour. The 55% of the energy is produced in Artsakh and
45% is imported from Armenia. Karlen Petrosyan, head of the NKR
government-affiliated department of industrial infrastructures, told
Armenpress that after the construction of the 3 small hydro power
stations by 'Artsakh Hydro Power Station', Artsakh will become not
only self-sufficient, but also an energy exporting country. Karlen
Petrosyan added that the tariff for energy (25 AMD) is not expected
to be changed until 2012.
