'Actions of both the past and present leadership of Armenia repeatedly
showed that this country has turned from subject into the object of
Int'l law.
The latest proof of this was, I believe, the game of boycott by Serzh
Sargsyan initiated from outside when he did not attend the Lisbon
summit of NATO, MP Gular Ahmadova told in an interview.
As a result, she says, as we remember, the North Atlantic Alliance did
not even notice the absence of the President of Armenia and recognized
the territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
'The 'game of boycott' by yesterday's locksmith who changed his status,
but did not improve his outlook, as it turned out, was very short -,
the Armenian president arrived in Astana, at the OSCE summit, in
my opinion, again at the instruction of external forces. Armenia's
dependence on external forces, by the way, was confirmed by Armenian
political analyst Stepan Grigorian.
The specific feature of the current situation is just this time,
by fulfilling the order of one of the numerous hosts of Armenia, the
president of this country Serzh Sargsyan became a pawn in the game to
undermine the influence of Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev, who,
by results of the recently held trilateral meeting of the presidents
in Astana, said that Azerbaijan and Armenia may reach a coordinated
solution on principles of the resolution of the Karabakh conflict by
the OSCE summit.
Given this, there are powers, whom the Armenian president considers
to be more powerful and influential, if he is ready to fulfill his
orders, contradicting the huge work, held by the Russian president in
the fair resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno
Karabakh. I am confident that these powers, pursuing their personal
interests will easily turn their backs to the Armenian president when
the further need for him disappears.
This is the real tragedy of the citizens of modern Armenia, who are
obliged to live in the country, whose president agrees to be a pawn
in someone's game to preserve his own power. Serzh Sargsyan also
demonstrated his agreement to further position himself in such a
humiliated status, was demonstrated in Astana'.
