On December 3, Yerevan hosted a scientific conference timed to 120th
anniversary of ARF Dashnaktsutyun.
"120th anniversary of ARF Dashnaktsutyun, marked this year, is another
possibility to draw public attention to a range of political and
historical issues," ARFD Bureau member Levon Lazarian stated.
As he noted, "the conference is a chance to promote struggle against
Turkish propaganda on Genocide issue."
"In an attempt to strike a political blow against Armenia, Turkey
targets Armenian history, vainly searching to disproof the legality
of the country's demands," Lazarian said, adding that a presentation
of a book entitled International Legal Grounds for Armenia's Demands
will take place in December 2010.
ARF Bureau Hay Dat and Political Affairs Office director Kiro Manoyan,
in turn, said, "we'll continue with 120 year-old line of the party
with the same aim of serving Armenian people and forming a unified
Armenia. Strengthening of Armenian statehood is the first step in
that direction."
"Tomorrow, a similar conference will be held in the U.S.," Manoyan
said, emphasizing ARFD role both in domestic and foreign policy
of Armenia.
