One Armenian "political prisoner" released, nine stay in jail
Feliks Grigoryan was arrested in June 2008 and was sentenced to seven
years of imprisonment on charges of illegal purchase and possession of
arms, the paper said. The authorities jailed Grigoryan in order to
include the allegation of possession of arms by the opposition into
the investigation into the 1 March 2008 post-election disturbances.
However, the prosecution was not able to prove the charge in the
court.
Another nine "political prisoners" remain in jail and, according to
speculation, prisoner Roman Mnatsakanyan will be released next.
