TURKISH PM WARNS OBAMA BILL ON ARMENIA COULD HARM TIES

Ankara, 20 December: Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has sent
a letter to US President Barack Obama about the draft resolution
supporting Armenian claims about incidents witnessed in 1915.
According to a written statement issued by the Press Centre of the
Prime Minister's Office, Erdogan expressed his concern that efforts
being made by the Speaker of the US House of Representatives to
ensure that the draft resolution numbered "H. Res. 252" is tabled at
a plenary session for ratification may hurt strong relations between
Turkey and the United States.
