President Abdullah Gul said Turkey solves its problems, adding that
Turkey has pursued policies of peace in the region.

Gul said following the 11th Summit of Heads of State and Government of
the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) that Azerbaijani President
Ilham Aliyev informed the participating leaders on recent developments
about Nagorno-Karabakh dispute. All ECO member states attach great
importance to stability in the region. Stability and security, he said,
are of vital importance for infrastructure investments.

Therefore, Gul said occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh should end as soon
as possible for the development of the region.

Responding to a question about Iran's nuclear program, Gul said,
Turkey has always pursued an active policy about the issue of Iran.

"We have always advocated that the issue should be resolved through
    diplomatic ways," he said.

"Turkey attaches great importance to stability, cooperation
and solidarity in the region. We also attach great importance to
normalizing our relations with Armenia to this end. We have already
taken some steps. We hope that our countries will resolve the issue
and pave the way for tranquility and stability in the region,"
    Turkish president added.
