TURKISH AMBASSADOR THANKS CONGRESS FOR NOT ADOPTING GENOCIDE RESOLUTION

Turks were pleased by decision of the House of Representatives to
adjourn the vote on the Armenian Genocide Resolution (H.Res.252).
First to respond was Turkish Ambassador to U.S. Namik Tan who sent
a letter to the U.S. Congress expressing gratitude for the efforts
to oppose the H.Res. 252. Namik Tan also thanked Secretary of State
Hillary Clinton and other officials who opposed the resolution.
