OBAMA REQUESTS MILLION IN AID TO ARMENIA

WASHINGTON, DC, FEBRUARY 3, NOYAN TAPAN-ARMENIANS TODAY. President
Barack Obama presented fiscal year 2011 (FY11) budget to Congress in
which particularly to give million in assistance to Armenia. Last year
the President offered to give to Armenia million, but to the result
of the disscussions hold in Congress the money has increased over
million. To the report of the Armenian National Committee of America
(ANCA) the President's budget proposes maintaining Foreign Military
Financing (FMF) assistance parity between Armenia and Azerbaijan,
requesting .5 million for each country.
According to ANCA the President requested .12 million in assistance
to Azerbaijan, 0,000 more than appropriated by Congress last year.
