FREEDOM OF INFORMATION CENTER'S APPEAL BEGINS IN CONSTITUTIONAL COURT TODAY
Tert.am
16:38 ~U 03.02.10
At 11 am on February 5, court proceedings on the appeal by the
Freedom of Information Center of Armenia (FOICA) to recognize
Articles 151 and 152 of the RA Administrative Court legislation as
being unconstitutional will commence in Armenia's Constitutional Court.
The reason for appealing to the Constitutional Court stems from two
court cases initiated by FOICA (FOICA vs. the non-commercial state
organization "Yerevan's Building and Implementation of Investment
Programs Office" and its director; and FOICA vs. Nor Nork district
municipality and municipality mayor) where FOICA was obliged to hold
an official accountable on administrative charges.
