ARMENIA LOST AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW THE SINCERE INTENTIONS OF TURKEY TO SUPERPOWERS: ANM MEMBER

ArmInfo. Armenia could use the complications, which appeared during
the ceremony of signing of the Armenian-Turkish Protocols in Zurich,
to demonstrate the sincere intentions of Turkey to the superpowers,
however, it has lost this opportunity, ANM Board member Hovhannes
Igityan told journalists.
"These intentions of Turkey are in no way related to opening of the
border or establishment of diplomatic relations with Armenia. Foreign
ministers of Armenia and Turkey refused to come out at the ceremony
in Zurich, though it was necessary for them to make statements, that
would enable Armenia to reveal the true face of Ankara. However,
Armenia has lost this opportunity", Igityan said and added that the
"Armenian diplomacy is weak". According to him, Turkey advances
preconditions to Armenia in view of the Karabakh issue, the Armenian
Genocide and Kars treaty.
H. Igityan recalled that the Turkish officials have always indicated
the necessity of liberation of the territories around Karabakh
by Armenia before the process beginning. "They forgot about their
requirements for some time, that was caused by the guarantees from
the forces which influence the parties to promote the process",
Igityan said.
