KARS SUFFERED MOST FROM ARMENIA-TURKEY RECONCILIATION FAILURE

The delegates of oppositional Republican People's Party (CHP)
regional congress in Kars (Turkey) sharply criticized ruling Justice
and Development party.
According to Turkish siyasalbirikim website, in his speech Cetin
Bilgir - newly appointed chairman of CHP (Kars branch), underlined
that currently situation in the country in healthcare and education
had worsen. He stated that demographic crisis of urban population
is registered, stressing that poverty rate increased as well. Bilgir
emphasized that Kars province suffered from failure in Armenia-Turkey
reconciliation most.
Strikingly, oppositionist insists that Armenia-Turkey reconciliation
process already failed. Nevertheless, CHP leader repeatedly stated
that they will vote against the Protocols in the Turkish parliament
till the progress in Karabakh peace process is registered.
Earlier, Kars province governor collected 50 000 signatures for
Armenia-Turkey border opening which is a good result considering that
total population is 70 000 people.
