THE POSSIBLE SCENARIOS OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE ARMENIAN-TURKISH RELATIONS

Representative of the Armenian National Congress Karepet Rubinyan and
Republican MP Gagik Minasyan today debated President Serzh Sargsyan's
speech in London and made predictions on the scenarios of the possible
outcome of the Armenian-Turkish process.
Gagik Minasyan: "In case of a positive outcome, we'll have an open
border with Turkey and diplomatic relations without preconditions. At
the same time turkey will stop contributing to the realization
of Azerbaijan's crazy ideas in the Karabakh conflict. If the
Armenian-Turkish relations fail to succeed, we'll have a new wave of
Armenian Genocide recognition."
Karapet Rubinyan: "In case of establishment of Armenian-Turkish
relations, we'll have a sad precedent of Armenian authorities agreeing
to discuss the fact of the Armenian Genocide. In case of Azerbaijan,
we'll have at least the status quo, but Turkey willl have acquired
a rather weighty role in the region."
