Azerbaijan considers the proposals of the OSCE co-chairs about the
Madrid principles acceptable. The minister of Azerbaijani foreign
affairs Elmar Mamedyarov made a statement in this connection during
the joint press-conference with the OSCE Chair-in-Office currently
in Baku, the head of the Kazakhstan foreign office Kanat Saudabaev.

Mamedyarov stated that Azerbaijan is ready to continue the negotiation
process and is waiting for the confirmation of the renovated principles
of Madrid. Azerbaijan confirms the initiative of Kazakhstan to hold
a summit in the end of 2010, said Mamedyarov.

Kanat Saudabaev stated that Astana is hopeful the year 2010 will
be crucial in the Karabakh conflict if the sides are loyal to the
    arrangements.

Meanwhile, in the capital of Qatar, a meeting between the Turkish
premier minister Recep Erdogan and the U.S. State Secretary Hillary
Clinton took place during which the sides discussed the process of
the Armenian and Turkish normalization and the NKR issue.

As the Turkish Anadoli agency reports, Erdogan stated that Turkey
views its relations with Armenia in the context of the process of
stabilization of the Caucasus. He called on the OSCE co-chairs to
activate their efforts in connection with the NKR issue.

In April, the Turkish prime minister will again leave for the U.S. to
take part in the "Nuclear Safety" congress with the participation of
the members of the ONU board. The Russian president Medvedev, the
French predident Nikola Sarkozy, the English Prime Minister Gordon
Brown and others will take part in the congress initiated by the
    White House.

The NKR president Bako Sahakyan is holding meetings in the Northern
Caucasus of Russia. Yesterday he met with the Armenian community of
Pyatigorsk. Tomorrow a meeting between Bako Sahakyan and the OSCE
Chairman-in-office will be held in Yerevan.
