ARMENIAN PRESIDENT: RESOLUTION OF NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT WILL GIVE SIMULTANEOUS ANSWER TO ITS TRUE CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES

ArmInfo. The Republic of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh Republic are
interested in the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The
resolution of the conflict will give a simultaneous answer to its
true causes and consequences, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan
said while meeting with OSCE CIO, Kazakh FM Kanat Saudabayev today.
Sargsyan welcomed Kazakhstan as new OSCE chair and expressed
satisfaction with the level of the Armenian-Kazakh cooperation.
The Armenian President hopes that during Kazakhstan's chairmanship
the two countries will enlarge their cooperation.
Sargsyan is sure that the visit will give Saudabayev a better vision
of the region's problems and an opportunity to make his personal
contribution to their settlement.
Saudabayev thanked Sargsyan for Armenia's support for Kazakhstan's
candidacy as OSCE chair.
Saudabayev knows that it is hard to quickly solve protracted conflicts
but Kazakhstan is ready to be useful and to help the OSCE Minsk Group
to resolve the problem. He said that withdrawal of snipers from the
contact line will be a crucial step towards the final resolution. OSCE
will do its best to make this possible.
Sargsyan said that Armenia is ready to continue its active cooperation
with OSCE institutions.
