HIS HOLINESS GAREGIN II HANDS A ST. MESROP MASHTOTS MEDAL TO THE ARMENIAN PATRIARCH OF JERUSALEM

Within the framework of the two-day visit to Israel, His Holiness
Garegin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenian,
participated in the celebration of the 20th anniversary of enthronement
of the Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem, Torgom Archbishop Manukian.
The Catholicos of All Armenians handed to Archbishop Torgom the St,
Mesrop Mashtots Order bestowed upon the 91-year-old Patriarch upon
President Serzh Sargsyan's decree.
The event was attended by clergymen and diplomats, representatives of
the Armenian community of Israel, the Greek and Latin Patriarchs of
Jerusalem, the Armenian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
to Israel.
