PROGRAM OF RETURN TO KARABAKH PREPARED IN AZERBAIJAN

Ali Hasanov The Azerbaijani government has prepared a program of
Great Return of IDPs to Karabakh.
The program was prepared by representatives of the embassies in our
country, international organizations and state structures. The program
is estimated at about $60 bn.
Ali Hasanov, deputy Prime Minister and chairman of the State Committee
on Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, said that despite certain
experience gained in creation of new settlements and resettlement,
the program of Great Return is more important. This program will be
conducted in phases after the Karabakh conflict is settled.
The committee chairman also noted that the nature of programs conducted
in connection with the displaced persons has also changed.
He said social projects had been preferred earlier, while now programs
aimed at development, rehabilitation, restoration of working skills of
IDPs are being prepared. These programs are implemented consistently
on the spots.
