NAGORNO KARABAKH REPUBLIC PARTICIPATES IN BIT MILAN TOURISM FAIR

MILAN, FEBRUARY 23, NOYAN TAPAN. The Nagorno Karabakh Republic
participated for the first time in the BIT Tourism Fair held in
Milan on February 18-21. The pavilion "Karabakh" was set up in the
immediate vicinity of the pavilions of Russia and Turkey. Artsakh's
history and its rich cultural heritage were displayed at the pavilion,
which attracted attention of both the organizers and visitors.
The NKR's delegation was headed by Sergey Shahverdian, head of the
Tourism Department at the government of the NKR.
The RA MFA Press and Information Department reported that 140 countries
participated in this year's BIT Tourism Fair that had 9 exhibition
halls and occupied an area of 57 thousand square meters.
The number of participants reached 200 thousand, the organizers said.
