The Human Rights Defender Armen Harutyunyan said that the term, that
the editor-in-chief of Haykakan Zhamanak daily Nikol Pashinyan did not
bear, should be cut off by half. He noted that the amnesty declared
by the NA on June 19, 2009 is applicable to the political figure.

Speaking to the Radio Liberty, Ombudsman reasoned his opinion in the
following way: "It is applicable because the case is connected with
March 1 which is a precondition for amnesty".

At the same time, the Minister of Justice Gevorg Danielyan said that
"the details of Nikol Pashinyan's case do not hinder to declare
    amnesty".

Recall the Minister of Justice, during a meeting with the head of
the Human Rights Defender's international federation (FIDH) Mrs. Suer
Belasen on February 10, dwelt on the possibility of declaring amnesty
towards Nikol Pashinyan. "Amnesty can be declared towards Nikol
Pashinyan and new developments are possible", Mrs. Belasen cited
    the minister.

Later, the minister refused these words saying that they were wrongly
    interpreted.

It is not understandable why the Justice Minister first refuses than
repeats the same words. This is one of the few cases when the media
assessed and took for serious minister's words.
