Azerbaijani deputies may visit Nagorno-Karabakh

Zahid Oruj A delegation of Azerbaijani MPs and public figures may
visit Nagorno-Karabakh, following trips in 2009 and 2007.
The chairman of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh, Bayram
Safarov, suggested to deputies and public figures that they make a
visit to Nagorno-Karabakh, a member of parliament's defence and
security commission, Zahid Oruj, told News.Az.
Safarov made the suggestion during an event to mark the 18th
anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy.
"However, the date of the visit and the composition of the delegation
is not known yet. Parliament has not been approached officially. This
was just a proposal from the chairman of the Azerbaijani community of
Nagorno-Karabakh," the MP said.
In his speech Bayram Safarov also noted that he attaches a great
importance to reciprocal diplomatic trips by intellectuals of the two
countries and considers that these visits raise the trust of the
Armenian community in Azerbaijan.
