18 more military officers detained in Turkey

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The wave of arrests targeting Turkey's military over
an alleged coup plot is not over yet - with reports a further 18
officers have been taken into custody during an operation in 13 cities
nationwide.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned in a televised
address that `no one is above the law.'
`Those who make plans behind closed doors to crush the people's will
must see that from now on they will face justice,' Erdogan said. `What
is happening today is normalization ... these are the footsteps of an
advanced democracy.'
Earlier this week, 49 senior officers were detained on accusations of
plotting to topple the country's Islamist-rooted government in a
violent coup.
