Armenian church in Georgian capital reopens after five-year break
Tbilisi, 7 January: On 6 January 2010, the [eve of the] day of
Christ's Nativity, the Surb Ejmiadzin Armenian Church in Tbilisi
resumed operation after a more than five-year break.
The formal opening took place at 1100 in the morning, with the head of
the Georgian eparchy of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop
Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, worshippers and representatives of Armenian
organizations in Georgia in attendance.
After the service, the first sacrament, a wedding, was conducted.
