ArmInfo. ARF Dashnaktsutyun demands announcement of reservations in
the text of the ratified Armenian-Turkish Protocols, Armen Rustamyan,
Chairman of ARFD Supreme Body, told media.
He said the reservations must reflect Turkey's stance on the Armenian
Genocide and ban linking of the Armenian-Turkish normalization with
the Karabakh problem. The parliament of Armenia must pass these
reservations after the Constitutional Court approved the initialed
protocols, Rustamyan said. He said that the authorities must change
the powers of the parliament if necessary in order to ratify the
Protocols with reservations. Relevant amendments will be the first
thing that ARFD will do during the first sitting of the parliament,
Rustamyan said. In case this initiative is failed, he said, the
ARFD parliamentary faction will demand the president to declare the
above reservations in the Protocols especially that the president
has relevant powers. Armen Rustamyan said that if these demands are
not satisfied and the provisions favorable to Turkey and endangering
Armenia's interests are left in the Protocols, the faction will
demand cancellation of the process of ratification, which will mean
a change of power. "In case of such developments, individuals able to
declare Turkey their stance must replace the incumbent authorities,"
A.Rustamyan said.
